When I joined Diligence Consulting last spring, I’d never heard of France Compétences, or very little. And since then, I’ve heard it all the time, or almost all the time. So this famous word must be pretty important in the world of professional training!
I’d like to share with you what I imagined about France Compétences.

When I first heard the word France Compétences coming from the mouths of Sandrine Ouilibona and Lucile Trihan, I was like a child, completely amazed and attracted. France Compétences sounds like a word for grown-ups. It sounds very serious to me. If I use that word myself, I’m going to become very, very tall. I’m going to impress the people who work in the field. What’s more, there seem to be lots of other words associated with it: registration, certification, RS/RNCP. Sounds like one big, beautiful family.
But I soon lost my enthusiasm. I even started to feel a bit scared. Obviously, France Compétences is no joke. They take the gloves off. I quickly sensed that it represented the supreme authority in the world of professional training and for Diligence Consulting. It embodies authority. There are rules and you have to respect them.
And then I felt reassured. In fact, even if I still don’t know exactly what it means, what it represents and what it implies, it’s a good thing France Compétences is here, a good thing France Compétences exists. Imagine, it’s like a country without a leader. Look what happens: civil war, total chaos. Because every organization needs a framework to organize itself, to evolve and to flourish. And I believe that France Compétences plays just such a role. To regulate the world of vocational training, to ensure that no one does anything, and that everyone in our society can access the vocational training of their choice under the best possible conditions!
